Hi, my name is Sam Wood, aka Bigtime. I have been bowfishing for over 25 years and have gone from a beginning bowfisherman standing on the bank with a old recurve bow and a wrap around reel harvesting just a couple fish an outing, to an accomplished tournament bowfisherman competing on both a state and national level and harvesting hundreds of fish in a day. I have traveled across the country taking many trophy and record book fish.
Bowfishing has become my obsession and I have spent thousands of dollars on boats and equipment and thousands of hours on the water gaining the knowledge it takes to harvest the numbers and quality fish that I am now able to take. Now I would like to take that knowledge and passion and use it to help you experience the thrill of bowfishing.
The past couple of years have been tremendous for me. I have taken some huge trophies like the 11 ft 6 in 500 plus pound alligator, a 134lb stingray, 175 pound alligator gar, and lots of huge carp and buffalo.
I have also added a slingshot to my arsenal of bowfishing gear. This slingshot is specially designed to shoot arrows. I have taken many fish with it and then I raised the bar and used it to be the first to ever harvest an alligator with a slingshot which was 6 ft 6 inches, then the very next night I took another alligator with it measuring 9 ft 4 inches. Two days later I used it to take two wild boars with hunting arrows. Just five days after that I was in California and made history again when I was the first person to ever take a shark with a slingshot. The shark was a huge Blue Shark measuring 10 feet 2 inches and weighing over 350 pounds.
